Murder dropped by 5.6 percent in 2004/5 from the previous financial year, attempted murder by 1.8 percent and serious assault 4.5 percent, it announced in Pretoria. Robbery with aggravating circumstances was 5.5 percent lower and burglary at residential and non-residential premises dropped by 8.1 percent and 13.6 percent respectively.

However,

Rape increased by four percent over the two financial years and indecent assault by eight percent.

and

Drug-related crimes increased by 33.5 percent, truck hijackings by 3.2 percent, bank robberies by 7.5 percent and cash-in-transit robberies 14.6 percent.

Okay, so ‘Drug-related crimes’ are what, exactly?

Could they be something on the lines of Murder,attempted murder, and robbery?

Somtimes we forget that the American people have a hell of a lot worse to contend with from their shameless theists.

Some days, I can see a very strong picture of the States as painted by Heinlein in his novella part of 'The Day After Tomorrow'...'If This Goes On..."(no, I'm not getting you the link-go find it yourself.It's worth a read.)

This 'soft and fuzy atheist' as she describes herself, is ready to do something about the very real threat.

Brown likens atheists today to gays in the 1970s: people just coming out of the closet to fight for acceptance. "There's been so much rhetoric in the past decade about how important religion is to being a good person," she says, that "it's been scary" for people to say they don't believe in God. She vows to "use the A-word and not cringe."

"We want to get people thinking about what they do that excludes us," she says. "The things that ... perpetuate the idea that we are outsiders - that we can't be patriotic or that we can't be moral or ethical - when in reality our community is tremendously active in making the world a better place to live."

Teenage Mutant Homo Sapiens

A collection of mutations-‘variations’ in GeneSpeak-in the locii of a couple of genes may be responsible for much of Mankind’s culture, science and environmental dama…err…dominance.

So says Bruce Lahn, a University of Chicago geneticist whose studies appear in Friday's edition of the journal Science.

But wait-there’s more!

Apparently, we don’t all have the same level of mutated-ness.

because Lahn's testing did find geographic differences in populations harboring the gene variants today. They were less common in sub-Saharan African populations, for example.

So!That means I’m culturally brainier than...oh wait.
